Play the Songs You've Always Loved

From Jazz and Pop to Classical and R&B. Our lessons are built around the music that actually moves you.

Make Real Progress, Even With a Busy Life

The program is specifically designed so you make measurable progress during every lesson — even if life got in the way and you couldn’t practice that week.

The Least Stressful Part of Your Work

Easy scheduling, flexible rescheduling, and predictable billing. This is your hour. It should feel like one.

You’ve been thinking about this for a while, haven’t you?

Maybe you’ve told yourself it’s too late. That you’re too busy. That you tried once before and it didn’t stick, or that lessons are really just for people who started as kids.

Here’s what we know from 30 years of teaching adults: every one of those thoughts is wrong.

Adult learners bring something kids simply don’t have — focus, intention, and a genuine reason for being there. You’re not in lessons because someone made you go. You’re there because you actually want to be. And that changes everything.

The question isn’t whether you can learn. The question is whether you’re finally ready to start.

Your life’s not the same as it was when you were a kid…

So why should your piano lessons be?

Most piano programs are designed for children with hours to practice every day, a parent to nag them, and no particular opinion about what songs they want to learn.

That’s not you. And that’s not how these lessons work.

Here’s what makes this different:

Play Your Favorite Music

Lessons start with the songs and styles you actually love — Jazz, Pop, Rock, R&B, Classical, show tunes. Real music for real people, from day one.

Progress happens in the lesson — not just at home

The Piano Autopilot Program builds practice directly into lesson time. That means even if your week got away from you, you still move forward. Every session. No guilt, no falling behind.

Sight-reading, improvisation, and the styles you love

Most piano teachers teach notes on a page. These lessons build the skills that make you a real musician — reading fluently, improvising freely, and playing in the styles that actually excite you.

Here’s Something Most Piano Teachers Won’ Tell You

Learning piano as an adult takes courage.

Admitting you want something you’ve been putting off for years takes courage.

Walking into a first lesson not knowing what to expect — that takes courage.

That’s understood here.

Completely.

I have spent 30 years teaching adult beginners, returning players, teens, and advanced pianists — and the one thing that never changes is this: the students who show up thinking they can’t do it are consistently the ones who surprise themselves the most.

Another year of meaning to start is still a year without music.

Here’s the pattern we see most often with adult beginners.

They find the page. They think about it.

They mean to come back. And then a year passes and they’re in the same place — still meaning to start, still listening to someone else play and wishing they could do that.

The hardest part isn’t the lessons. It isn’t the practicing.

It’s making the decision to actually begin.

You’ve already found this page. That’s not nothing. The next step is just a free conversation — no commitment, no pressure, nothing to prepare. Don’t let this be the page you meant to come back to.

What Students Are Saying

Matthew is the most professional, encouraging, and helpful instructor I’ve had in music. He’s been very patient with me as I am an adult with zero piano experience when I started. Now, I can’t even count how many songs I’m able to play in less than a year of lessons. Super thankful & happy with my progress.

3 of the Most Commonly Asked Questions

Are Online Piano Lessons as good as in person?

Absolutely — and for many adult students they’re actually better. No commute, no parking, no rushing from work to get there on time. You’re already at home, relaxed, and ready to focus. The instruction quality is identical — you just need a decent camera angle so we can both see what we need to see. We’ll sort that out in the trial lesson.

What Makes This Lesson Program Different?

The short answer: progress happens in the lesson, not just at home. Most programs send you home with a pile of things to practice and assume you’ll find the time. For adults with full lives, that’s a recipe for falling behind and eventually dropping out. The Piano Autopilot Program builds structured practice directly into lesson time. That means you make real, measurable progress every single session — regardless of how your week went. If you practice between lessons, you’ll move faster. If life gets in the way, you still move forward. Either way, you learn to play. Add to that 30 years of experience, a real professional performance background across every style, and a program built specifically around how adults actually learn — and the difference becomes pretty clear.

What Do I Need to Get Started?

Three things: 1. Something to play on — a keyboard or piano. Not sure what to get? We’ll talk through your options in the trial lesson. 2. A way to video call — Zoom works great. A laptop, tablet, or phone with a decent camera is all you need. 3. An internet connection — standard WiFi is fine. That’s genuinely it. No prior experience required.
